I'm blessed and loved. I've been learning to share life with the coolest, hairiest man around, one crazy cool family trio downstairs and four baby chicks. I love to write and in 2010, I received my B.A. in Literature from the University of Washington. I come from a long line of strong, stubborn, adventurous women and good men who keep on loving them. From all this - I'm learning what matters.
I feel called to write. The question then always comes, "What?" I usually take the cop-out of 'fantasy,' but what I really mean is much more than that. I want to write stories that are birthed from the Spirit, that touch peoples' hearts and change something deep inside of them. I am called to the broken and hurting, and I know that writing will be a tool the Lord uses to bring healing and strength. So, how do I get there?
I am dedicated to my studies, but I feel lately that there is a new level of preparation. This blog is an outlet, for my writing to begin being read (and criticized)...and I hope it begins to leak revival in it's readers. Please let me know your thoughts and responses.

"First, she looked into the Prince's eyes and saw that he loved her. Then, she looked into the Prince's heart, and Snow White could see that he was not only a loving man, but a kind and good one. She felt love and gratitude stir in her heart, for the Prince had saved her from a cruel fate, waking her as if from the dead."

"Don't live your life for a safe story, live it for a good one... It is easier to go die facing giants than to live in the wilderness. Either you are willing to die for the dream that is in your heart or you will live a safe life."
-Lou Engle

Oh Lord, You're Beautiful
Oh, Lord You're beautiful Your face is all I see And when Your eyes are on this child Your grace abounds to me
Oh Lord please light the fire That once burned bright and clear Replace the lamp of my first love That burns with holy fear
I want to take Your word and shine it all around But first help me just to live it Lord! And when I'm doing well, help me to never seek a crown, For my reward is giving glory to You.
